fawn came down with strep on Sunday. she had a fever of 102 and a sore throat. i took her to the doc Monday and they gave her penicillin and said her lymph glands were swollen
then last night her ears began to hurt. both of them became inflamed and she was in so much pain. even with me giving her Tylenol and motrin back to back. my poor darling was crying in agony , i almost took her to the ER. but that made her cry even more, she was so afraid of that. i made her warm compresses and sat with her on her bed holding her hands and rubbing her legs. it was midnight and time for more pain medicine so i got the bright idea to give her a dose of adult Advil since she is 12 and the label says 12 to adult..so i did that and within 30 min she was feeling so much better. and at 4 am when >she was due another dose she was sweating and i knew her fever had broken finally. she has been sleeping since then.. it was a long night and I've had just a few hours of sleep. i think we will be resting a lot today.
poor honey.. she only had these 3 days of school left and she missed her recognition ceremony last night .. she was to receive some award..she cried about that.. and today are some games at school she will miss she cried about that.. lordy she cried about everything last night. Yoshi and her daddy.. everything that hurt inside came pouring out with the fever..i just held her for hours and rubbing her and pulling her hair back.
i am worn out...
